Bank Chief Operating Officer: 'We are enjoying it a great deal'

OMAHA, Nebraska—Shen Yun Performing Arts was applauded by a delighted audience at the beautiful Orpheum Theater, Nebraska’s main center for performing arts when it performed at the venue on Tuesday April 20.

Mr. John Roberts, First National Bank chief operating officer, was there to see traditional Chinese culture for the first time. He appreciated the New York-based Shen Yun company's performance, saying, “[It is] very good, the dancing is excellent; the music is very, very good. We are enjoying it a great deal.”

Shen Yun brings China’s 5,000-year-old traditional culture to life through ancient legends, modern tales and folkloric dances from different ethnic areas. The Tibetan Dance of Praise is one of them where the Tibetan nobility, young men and women, dance for joy, bringing beauty and energy to the stage.

Mr. Roberts enjoyed the Tibetan Dance of Praise for its liveliness and upbeat tempo.

He felt that the show portrayed how the traditional culture of China originated and how it developed, saying, "It was more how the original culture was, about dance and music.”

Mr. Roberts said he would tell others “how great it [Shen Yun] was, and how much we enjoyed it.”

The next stop of the Shen Yun International Performing Arts Company is Milwaukee where they will perform April 23 and 24.
